Army records are very clear. Col Sylvester Churchill shared his post with Col George Croghan at Fort Churchill Navada. Col George Croghan's nephew William Croghan married Lucy Clark the sister of William Clark the Explorer and partner to Meriwether Lewis.

Then William Clark's son CSA Col Meriwether Lewis Clark married Abby Churchill.

Lucy Clark Croghan's son William Croghan Jr married Mary Elizabeth O'Hara. There daughter Mary Elizabeth O'Hara Croghan married William Schenley the Royal Guard to Queen Victoria. Schenley Park in Pittsburgh was named after this Schenley family and Churchill Boro and Road in Pittsburgh was named after the above Churchill family.

James Fenimore Cooper writes in this book the Life of Ned Myers that Ned Myers' father was a Royal Guard to Prince Edward.

This connects to my Pittsburgh Myers riverboat family and the family of riverboatman Nicholas Roosevelt and his two nephews President Teddy Roosevelt and Cathlic Bishop James Roosevelt Bayley.
