Also, the only date you give is a birth date of 1839 for Francis Churchill so I can only GUESS that you are looking during the time frame ca. 1860 onward, right? You don't give a possible location in Louisiana or what census records you have searched, if any. I took a VERY brief look and found that the Churchill surname wasn't very common in Louisiana cira 1860-1920, with the majority concentrated in Orleans Parish. There are excellent resources for New Orleans but you need to be more specific as to what you are seeking rather than "trying to research the Churchill family in Louisiana". Lastly, not everyone with the same surname is related - far from it. Rick
