Our James Cinnamond ca 1755, may be the father of your James Cinnamon, but I have no way to prove it.
At the present time, we think that the father of John A. Cinnamond, Sr. was Robert Cinnamond, born ca 1730 in Ballinderry. Robert died between 1798 and 1841; he married Anne Unknown. We further suggest that Robert and Anne had at least two other children: William Cinnamond born ca 1753; James Cinnamond born ca 1755. There is a 13-year gap between the birth of James (1755) and the birth of John A. (1768). Therefore, we're assuming (always a danger in genealogy) that Robert and Anne probably begot additional little Cinnamonds, or, Anne died in childbirth and Robert remarried prior to John's birth. We want to emphasize that all the above has yet to be documented.
