Thanks Rick and Fred!

My ggrandfather lived from 1880-1917 in MO. He was
an Innkeeper and then lived with my great aunt and her family. So the indigent option probably would not pan out.
It is a good resource though. Did not find he applied for a pension, but the records for Confederates were scarce
amongst Fed Records.
