His Name was William Jefferson May(sometimes was called Jeff).He was a private.company c, 5th regiment south Carolina volunteers.Under the comand of COL.Preston(not clear on that) I do not not know what battle, I know he Died at the South Carolina Confederate Hospitial in Manchester on Dec 30,1862.The family was notified in Feb,1963.He was First taken to a hospitial in Richmond, Then Cullpepper, the finaly to Manchester.
