Some more info to help researchers of this soldier

He was with Company F ,7th New Jersey Infantry
His mother Adelaide Chazotte received a pension Oct 5,1863

Service Record: Enlisted as a Sergeant on 26 April 1861.
Mustered in Company C, 2nd New Jersey Infantry Regiment on 1 May 1861.Mustered Out on 31 Jul 1861 at Trenton, NJ.

and

Service Record: Enlisted as a 2nd Lieutenant.
Commissioned in Company F, 7th New Jersey Infantry Regiment on 18 Sep 1861.
Mustered Out* on 25 Jun 1862 at Seven Pines, VA.

*No mention of his death from these sources
