Does someone have a list of the Soldiers who
died in the Battle of Franklin?? I would like
to know if possible this young mans first
name, his rank and the city or County in Iowa
he was from. His last name was Heck.
I know some of the Soldiers were buried in Franklin, Tn. and others were returned to their` home States.
? Hecks Father was born in Perry County, Ohio.
and moved to Iowa. The Heck family was living in Iowa at the time of the Civil War, he would have been a Union Soldier. He was the Grandson of John and Peggy Sanderson Heck.
There is abit of information on the family,
but no first name is given for the Soldier.
His Grandmothers Brother was General George
Sanderson a soldier of the War of 1812.
