Would like to get birthdate and parents for Joseph. Here is what has been confirmed. Joseph married Catherine J. Permar/Panner 15 Mar 1857 in Venice Heights, Butler, Ohio. John B. was born 19 Feb 1858 Cones Mill, Hamilton, Ohio. William A. born 11 Nov 1860 New Baltimore, Hamilton, Ohio. Joseph enrolled the 6th day of August 1862 @Camp Logan in Company C of the 68th division of Indiana Volunteers to serve 3 yrs of civil war. Mustered into service 19th day of August 1862 Indianapolis, Indiana. Mustering out Company C of that regiment Joseph took ill 1 May 1863 sent to Murfeesboro, Tn than transferrred to Brown General Hospital in Louisville, Ky where he died 2 Jul 1863. He is burried in Cave Hill National Cemetery in Louisville, Ky sec. B range 5, grave #64. His residence is listed as Metamora, Franklin, Indiana. Catherine gave birth to son Joseph Arnette Welch 1 Oct 1863. Catherine then married Andrew Baker 24 Mar 1867 and had more children. Catherine did have to prove that the 3 boys were in fact Joseph's to get an $8 per month pension. 1st guardian of pension was Mr. Robeson who stole the money then appointed a new guardian(?). ANY help for Joseph would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
