Scott is right. Company F of the 25th Al Regiment was organized in Randolph County. It just happened to be in Mobile when the 25th was formed from two battalions. Did Alexander have brothers? In the 24th Al Regiment which drew from, among others, Clarke and Mobile counties, we find Andrew Young, John R. Young, R. Young, and William M. Young. This is just an example. I'm sure there are other Young's from the area in other units. Often brothers and/or cousins would sign up and serve together.
