Kent Fort and Kent Manor were on the southern tip of Kent Island. The land that the fort was on is now in the Chesapeake Bay due to erosion.Crayford also known as Crayford Fort was nearer the middle of Kent Island. Some out buildings, not original, still exist on what was the Plantation. The town of Claiborne is located south of Kent Island. It is on the north tip of Tilghman Island.
