Hello Neil. My grt grt grandmother Jane Clappison was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Clappison. Jane was christened May 25th, 1819 at Catwick, Yorkshire, England. She married George Holdenby Nov 24th 1838 at the Rowley Parish, Yorkshire, England.

The family which consisted of Jane and George as well as their four daughters emmigrated to Canada after the 1851 Canadian Census was taken. Any info re the Clappison/Holdenby families would be appreciated.
