Hello Shelley
My name is Harry and I am tracing my family history one of which on my mothers side is McClive.
In searching for them I found that her Grandfather Andrew McClive's Father was actually called John Clave and for some unknown reason changed it to McClive.
Anyway further searching uncovered that he came from Wigtown and was born John Cleave around 1839-1841 in a place called Stonykirk.
Do you think that you may have some links to him and if so I would be grateful for any information on his family Father,Mother etc.
Don't even know if you are still online but thought I would have a go anyway.
yours
harry
