Hello Shelley
You have hit the nail on the head my GG Grandfather John Clave aka McClive was born 10th nov 1839 stoneykirk Wigtown
I have his parents as same David Cleave /Clave and Sarah Rodgers.
Also have possible other brother Will or William Cleave/Clave could you verify or deny this claim if possible.
Did not know about his brother Andrew but that would explain my G Granddads name.
any other information you could get would be warmly appreciated Shelley ie David Clave and Sarah Rodgers parents
I thank you for your kindness and hope I can someday return the favour I live up in the Glasgow area of Scotland so who knows.

yours
Harry
