Elizabeth:
I don't recognize the latter generations you spoke of, but the two Philip Claytons, Ann Coleman and Anne Swann Churchill are descendants of Susannah Morris and Samuel Clayton. Unfortunately, the file I have on Samuel Clayton does not take your line beyond the children of Philip and Anne Swann Clayton, with the exception of a daughter named Sarah Ann Edwards Clayton. She married James Brown Wallace and had eight known children. Philip and Anne only had two other children that I know of who lived to adulthood: James Bell Clayton and Philip. The ancestral line for the Philip Clayton (there were dozens of Philip Claytons that were all related to each other) that married A.S. Churchill goes: Samuel Clayton/Ann Coleman were his parents; Philip Clayton/Ann Coleman (she was a first cousin of the above Ann)were his grandparents; Samuel Clayton II/Elizabeth Pendleton were his g-grandparents; and Samuel Clayton/Susannah Morris were his g-g-grandparents.
I doubt if any of this helps you as far as establishing a connection, but if you do the rest is well documented through 1640 Virginia.
