Tim. Others have so claimed. However, I am a fellow member of the Family Tree DNA Clayton Surname project with someone else who is a descendant of the Nelson Co Joseph Clayton. Probably the most Politically Correct thing to say is that either I do not know my ancesstry correctly, or the person thinks incorrectly that the Nelson Co Joseph Clayton is their ancestor (highly unlikely), or other people who claim that the Joseph Clayton of Nelson is the son of Francis of Chesterfield are incorrect.
I would greatly appreciate discussing this more elsewhere than a public forum. I think you can read my e-mail by clicking on the image as I do not hide it.
Also, if you happen to be a Ancestry Member you can contact me at WClayton43.
If you are having trouble getting through, leave another Msg here and I will post my e-mail clearly, but in a format it cannot be electronically harvested.
