The name Clayton is linked to our family around the early part of the 1800s.They were a canal boat family.My Great Grandmother's Great (Great?) Grandmother married one.My Great Grandmother's married name was Cattell (coincidence?) (sorry - I don't recall what her maiden name was).It is known that there are relatives in Canada and that the links were close at the turn of the century as 'visits' were made between the two branches.
