Hi Stephen. You and I emailed each other about this family line just before my oldest daughter was born about 11 years ago. I am getting back into researching this line again now. My mom still hasn't gotten past Amy Anna Jones either- it is NOT Noble...that is a relative in David's family line- not Amy Anna's. I decided to look up research from her sisters records and see what I can come up with that way.

There were a couple of things that I have clarified in the last couple of days from the info that I had 11 years ago.... Brittsville (where both Amy Anna & her sister, Berthenia Margaret (b. 1817) is not in Meigs County, TN like what I am seeing in so many family trees. At the time that they were born, it was actually Rhea County, TN. Which could be why so many of us have been stonewalled. From what I have seen so far- the records that we are looking for are on microfilm at the Tennessee State Archives, which CAN be ordered and sent to any library that you choose that has a microfilm reader.

That name Achilla is just too extraordinary to be a coincedence either- that HAS to be a family name. And I did come across it in some TN & IN records. (The family moved to IN from TN when she was young- from what I was reading in my mom's Stillwell family genealogy book..they didn't get any further than that either...and that was compiled back in the early 1900's.)

I have narrowed her father to a handful of people that I suspect- but have not proven yet since TN's 1810's census records are lost.

I will post here anything that I find.

It is nice talking to you again. Feel free to email me at
