David Hell/Clear, b. abt. 1821 & Anna/Amy Jones or Noble

I need some help figuring out this family.

Here is the 1850 Washington Twp., Preble Co., census: Birth year in
parenthesis

David Clear 29 M Laborer B:Ohio (1821)
Amy " 24 F B:Tennessee (1826)
Mary " 16 F B:Indiana (1834)
Isaac " 10 M B:Indiana (1840)
Sarah " 8 F B:Indiana
Romand " 6 M B:Indiana
Alwilda " 4 F B:Indiana
Caroline " 2 F B:Indiana
John 6/12 M B:Indiana

We have a marriage record in Preble Co. of David Hell m. Amy Jones, December
12, 1838

Amy might be a sister to Margaret Jones who married David's brother Joel.

Already we have some discrepancies:

Who the heck is Mary Clear, b. 1834, 4 years before David m. Amy.
David is only 17 at marriage, Amy is 12. This cannot be correct

Note most of you who have Alwilda as an ancestor show her born in Paulding
Co. 1850 census has her born in Indiana.

I cannot find the family in 1860.

In 1880, here is an abbreviated read:

1880 Paulding Co., Ohio census page 189:

Clear, David..........................................62 [1818]
Clear, Anna ........................................65 (1815]
Clear, Joel...............................................28 [1852]
Clear, Catharine E................................27 [1853]
Clear, Henry...........................................20 (1860]
Clear, Flora A.........................................4..[1876]
Clear, Edgar A........................................2 [1878]

This apparently is David and his wife in the household of their son Joel and
Henry and Joel's wife Catherine (Swick Clear).
Note the ages. 62 (birth year 1818) and Anna (Amy???) birth year 1815
If one goes back to the 1850 census and changes Amy's age to 34 instead of
24 We have Amy/Anna's birth year as 1816, which matches more or less.

I have Joel Clear (David's son) death certificate. It shows his parents to
be Anna Noble.

I got this from Minnie McClain awhile back: "Margaret and Annie or Amy were
suppose to be sisters born in Brillsville Tenn . I don,t have much else on
the Jone A lot
of tere family was suppose to have moved to Ind."

It is bad enough going from Amy to Anna and from Jones to Noble. If we
assume that Amy was born in 1815, then she would be old enough to be a
mother to Mary Clear b. 1834, but that would mean that she was previously
married. All this must have happened in Indiana?

So lets have it folks. We all are looking for the origins of Amy/Anna
Jones/Noble.

Any thoughts??
