I noticed the name of Ezekiel being mentioned in your message. I am looking for his parents. He and his wife, Martha Stinson, are buried in the Cleaves Cemetery in Smithfield. One of the Smithfield Town Records books says that Ezekial was born 10 Oct. 1783 in Kennebunk and Martha was born 10 May 1794, in Lyman, Maine. Have you found out any more about Ezekiel.
Can you also give some information regarding John and his wife Susan. I am trying to put together the genealogies of the first families of Smithfield; this being the families that were living in Smithfield when it became a town on February 29, 1840. I'm using the 1840 Census and the First Record book which shows the families that were living in Smithfield on Feb. 29th (wives are not mentioned). Both John and Ezekiel are in the 1840 Census.
Birthdates, deathdates, where they are buried and who are their parents are is what I'm looking. I don't go back any further than the parents in the genealogy work; it would just way too long to do that.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
