James Clemens (1734-1795) Descendants for DNA

Re. In regards to: James Clemens (1734-1795) Buffalo Township, Washington Co., PA.

Perhaps all male Clemens descendants of this James Clemens line of Buffalo Twp, Washington Co., PA have expired with no issue.

To date, not one volunteer has bravely stepped forward for male 25 marker Y-DNA mouth swab test to determine and more importantly to provide to the rest of our genealogical community the historically important DNA codes of the various possible "Mark Twain" ancestor lineages.

We, your possible long lost cousins, whose ancestors might have married locally and chose to stay behind, with the new wife's family [or be a rebel]; while the main group continued to migrate onward, are now trying to determine our roots. Now, we might even spell our surname Clements or Clemmons or Clemons. Did our last known ancestor just drop from the sky??? Please seriously consider to help us out....

Some of us "orphans" have exhausted all primary source document searches along with the more than several authors that have preceded us.

While we have the right time frames, the right places, a biblical given name of Hezekiah, a unique given name likeness of most all children, picture likeness; we still lack that DNA test of your line to support our claims.

James' known sons with issue were: Jeremiah, William, and James. An Ezekiel "went to Tenn" and is unknown.

Jeremiah, Danville, KY, had James III St Louis, MO.

William, Wash Co. PA had sons: James W. Wheeling WV, Abraham Wheeling WV, William Jr. Wash Co PA, John C. Wash Co PA, and Amos W Boulder CO.

James II, Huntsville AL had sons: Jeremiah [senator, author, lawyer] Huntsville AL and Archibald M. Miss [not of Jesse James].

If you need or desire more information don't hesitate to contact me.

Ronald Allen Clemons Sr.
