I am a descendant of the Bomanville Climie's and would be interested in any data on this line. My line is through my Father - John Haworth Drewry; Grandfather - William Stewart Drewry - Great Grandmother ? Climie {Drewry}, wife of John Burnham Drewry. I do know that my grandfather was born in Ontario in 1859 so that provides a base and dateline for these photos which appear to have been collected by my great grandmother and passed down in the family. However, I do not know my Great grandmother Climie's first name. I have an old photo that shows "Uncle George Climie and his sisters Aunt Margaret Rose, Glorianna Mortimer and Jean Lawrie. I also have photos of Uncle Andrew Climie and his wife, Aunt Lizzie. I also have a photo of an Uncle John McKee Climie who was my great grandmother's oldest brother. I also have a photo of an Uncle George S. Climie, Bowmanville, Ont. Also a photo of an Elizabeth Dingwall Climie. And an Aunt Jean Stirling Climie (Mrs. Chestnut). Also photos of John Climie, and Grandmother Climie (she would be my great great grandmother)and is likely the matriarch of the Climie clan in Bomanville. If you are interested in having me e-mail scanned copies of any of these photos, please write direct to I would be grateful for any information provided on the Climie family, particularly where my great-grandmother fits in the family.
