I have references for 2 (maybe 3) Closs families that emigrated to Brazil.
1) Johann Peter born in 1785 in Womrath, Hunsrück, son of Michael Closs and Maria Agnese Weirich, married Catarina Elisabeth Knewitz and imigrated to Brazil in 1825 with 4 children
2) Jacob Closs born 1791 in Womrath, Hunsück, or Eckersviler, Birkenfeld, married with Ana Catarina Müller born in 1791, arrived in Brazil in 1825 with 2 children
3) Ana Catharina Closs, born 1811 in Eckersviler, Birkenfeld.
They all immigrated to Sao Leopoldo in South Brazil.
