Hi Kathy,

Correction: George A Yerdon isn't a brother of Lucy. Instead his wife Clara is Lucy's sister. George's parents were Albert Yerdon and Lousia Clark. I got the wrong column from the marriage data I have.

These pieces of data come from the Register of Marriages in Town of Hammond, Family History Center microfilm #1311927 item #6. It looks like the records start about 1886 or so. Also from Town of Rossie, Town of Rossie Vital Records 1882-1909, Family History Center film #1311928 item #6.

From these records I get Oliver born circa 1863 in Hammond, Clara born circa 1865 in Morristown, Frank E born circa 1866 in Hammond and Francis born circa 1866 in Hammond.

Also, according to the 1900 census, Betsey was the mother of 10 childern with 7 living at the census time. Don't know who the others were.

Oliver m. Laney Barker dau of George Barker/Eliza Closs July 4, 1891. Eliza (Elizabeth Ann) was a dau of John and Maria Closs.

Clara m. George Yerdon 29 Dec 1899. Clara appears to have been married to a Kelly before.

Frank E m. Laney Ward dau of Nathan Ward/Mary Vroman Nov 16, 1896. Laney may have been married to a Finley before.

Francis married Dora Closs dau of Joseph Closs/Maratha Salsibury/Salsman Dec 23, 1887. This data from Marriages in Town of Rossie, Town of Rossie Vital Records 1882-1909, Family History Center film #1311928 item #6. Joseph Closs was a son of John and Maria Closs.

I have been looking and looking for Nicholas Yerdon and Betsey Petrie in census records and just can't find them in any year. Either the spellings are really messed up or they avoided the census takers relly well.

Later,
Bob
