Stan, I am a descendant of Susan Massingill/John Clover. Susan was born ca. 1824 Greene County, TN, the daughter of George Washington Massingill/Mary Ann "Polly" Gann. The GWM family along with ten TN born children, entered Republic of TX, 1837. John Clover was born in AR. Unable to document Isaac Clover as the the father of John, however, early records of Nacogdoches Territory shows Isaac as a resident of TX under Mexican rule. Sarah "Sallie" Clover/Volentine Howard is my direct line. According to the 1850 Angelina County census, my "Sallie" is the second born daughter.
