Eric,
I have some of the same problems tracking my family (referring to your statement about everyone in the US somehow being related). The only problem I have is that the name SCOTT is as common as Smith, and we used the same names in every generation...all the way to CA.

Be that as it may, I believe we have a mutual link. I am a descendant of Samuel SCOTT, whose brother John married Mary CLOVER, daughter of Paul. I have 2 problems: first, I can't seem to locate any information regarding birth and death records despite the bio info that states that John is burried in Brookville. Second, all descendants seem to have vanished into the mist. Would you be willing to direct me? I've spent the better part of 2 years putting a permanent dent in my forehead.
