I have considerable information on James Monroe Clover (Mexican War veteran, 1 sibling, 9 childeren, moved family from Illinois to Nebraska to Missouri. Don't have definite death date, but do have him attending Mexican War veterans reunion in Nevada, Mo., in 1886 and 1887. One of his sons, William Henry, was my great-grandfather. Alva Leonard was one of William Henry's six children; my dad, Henry Earl, was son of Alva Leonard. I was born in Oklahoma, but have lived in Michigan for last 40 years, retiring two years ago from a newspaper, the Detroit Free Press. E-mail me and I will be glad to supply you with all the information I've accumulated.
