We might be connected. See my post of 12-22-02. My John Clow was married to Dorthy Catherine Smith, or Catherine Dorothy Smith...find it both ways.

Do you have any connection to the Ross family in Highgate? One of John and Catherine's daughteres married a Ross and stayed in Highgate when the rest of the family move West in 1853.

My great grandfather Lester Hardick Clow was b.11-2-1843 in Highgate, VT to John and Catherine Clow. I've now clue where he got his middle name, assume its from a paternal grandmother. Any Hardick's (also sometimes said to be Hardwick) in your tree?
