I am interested in this John Cloe/Clow that was in Marion County, IN around 1830. I am actually interested in the Henry COX family from that time. Henry's wife was an Elizabeth ??. They both died there in Marion County around 1830. John Cloe tried to get guardianship of their children, but it was granted, instead, to George Taffe and James McFarland. Another thing that links Cox and Cloe, is that when Elizabeth Cox died, John Clow and she had some kind of a bond/note together. I think she may have been related to John Clow in some way.Does anyone know anything more about John? I know that Lucinda, his wife, died there about 1837 or so. I came across her probate papers there and William Clow was listed as administrator.
