Before we completely dismiss any possibly connection, I wanted to have one last look at the John Edward Clow you mentioned.

Milo Clow's father was John Edward Clow, who would have been born in about 1810 in the Stanbridge, Que area. Stanbridge is only a few miles from Philipsburg, where you mention that your family baptised their children.

Milo was baptised in the Stanbridge Anglican Church in 1845. Could his father John Edward possibly be the same John Edward Clow that you mention?

There was also a William Henry Clow in the area, possibly a brother to John Edward. Do either of these names show up in your records.

Also, do your Clow's have any connection to the big nucleus of CLOW's in Bridgeport, CT?? And are your Clow's originally Dutch?

Sorry to keep hammering at you. Just trying to close the loop. Thanks for your time, Tom.
