Thanks Tom; I have a sneaking suspicion that our CLOWs are almost surely related. The Clows in Mississquoi were Dutch, Loyalists and from Upper New York as well. I only recently came across a connection between these Clows and the ones in Bridgeport, CT. I already have the church and census records that Marlene Simmons advertises, but it doesn't solve my problem of placing his ancestry. I will keep an eye out for your Clows as well. Most of the Mississquoi families lived in Quebec and in Franklin Co., VT on and off. The border seems to have been nearly non-existent at that time, and makes tracking these families all the more challenging!!! Thanks. Jann Notify Administrator about this message?
