Clow Family Genealogy Forum
Yes, I meant James Beach Clow. Sorry, he had a brother Robert John Clow. I found James's baptism in The New York Genealogy and Biolographic Records, Vol. 9 1878 "Records of the 1st Presbyterian Church of the City of New York". p. 85. You can join the DAR on James Fitzjames Clow as I open the line and would be happy to share my papers with you. I worked over five years trying to establish his service. Finally found a pay voucher at the National Archives in Washington, DC. that proved that what his great, great grandson, James Loring Lusk, a graduate of West Point, 1878 had stated in his S.A.R. papers. I have all of the deeds from Stratford, CT that show the tranfer of land to Sarah (Beach) Clow children. I have been working on the family for many years and have travel exstensively collecting information, deeds, pictures, etc. Do you have pictures of James Beach Clow or Samuel Culbertson Clow? I have very nice portraits of both which I would be willing to share. I have a lot of inform on Marshall Dewane Chapin and his wife, Maria Agnes Marshall. I spent time with their son, Earl H. Chapin in Wilbraham, MA working on this family. Earl did not know that Robert Townsend was married. Do you have much information about Robert Townsend Marshall's siblings? I'm quite busy right now as we have our house on the market and will be moving in mid-January to a place we are having built in the center of Fountain Hills. I will try to be a good correspondant but if you do not hear from me for a period of time you know why right now.
