Sadly, my mother Sue Scott Clow Macdonald died yesterday, peacefully. But her death has me once again beating my head against the wall looking for John Hardick Clow's ancestors. See there's a John Clow that was with the military in Sorel, but don't know if he's the same guy...there were so many up there. Just have his St. Armand and Highgate info previously posted on this thread.

Maybe someone else has found something or someone new has come along.

Figured out that John was married first to Maria who died in 1833 at 23 leaving him a daughter Maria Eliza. He remarried Dorothy Catherine Smith and I have her lineage.

Two clues that I can't make fit yet are the Hardick middle name that John gave to his son Lester Hardick Clow and my grandfather Byron Lee Clow's middle name. Neither Lee or Hardick were names on the Smith line, so guessing they are clues to John Hardick Clow's lineage.

Hey, can't hurt to toss it out there again.
