Hi. I'm new to the forum...just joined today.
I was born on the island of Newfoundland, Canada.
I am researching my family tree and thought this forum would be beneficial. The Clow(e)s of Newfoundland are few in number. Some of my ancestors moved to Massachusetts and I think some may have moved to Iowa.
It is said that my paternal grandmother (Elizabeth Mary) changed the spelling to include an 'e' at the end. Most Newfoundland Clowes now spell it that way. The name is pronounced to rhyme with 'slow'.
Hope we can share information.
