John Willis Clubb was a soldier in the Florida War of 1838. He was pensioned for his service, and later, his widow, Julia Ann, was also pensioned. John had been married three times, and Julia has a very lengthy and detailed deposition in that pension file. Her deposition, given 11 February 1895 in Willapo, Pacific Co., Washington, says that her and her husband had 7 children, 6 of them living. William H. is mentioned as the one who is "now dead". I don't have any dates for the births of the children. According to Julia, the family was always moving from place to place and from state to state. She names a number of places where they lived, but said she can't name them all because she couldn't keep track. William H. was born either in Jefferson City, MO, or Fulton Co., AR.
