This is a lot of data to process.
I did some checking of indexes, and I found a number of Clubbs who were 1812 and Indian War soldiers. When I looked at the online pedigrees, I didn't find any of these soldiers posted. Apparently, no one has looked at their records. Or if they have, they are keeping it to themselves.
The other thing that I found on a quick check is some Clubb names in the Pennsylvania Archives series, that I also don't find in the online pedigrees. There is a James Club marrying Margaret Lamont in 1769 at the First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. There is also a James Club listed as a Mariner, paying provincial tax in Walnut Ward, City of Philadelphia, in 1774. In 1783, is is noted that Mrs. Margaret Club and her 3 children have permission to come from the city of NY to the city of Philadelphia. This may have something to do with another entry that says James Club the mariner (and others) were found guilty of high treason, having knowingly and willingly aided and assisted the enemies of the state and of the U.S., by having joined their armies at Philadelphia.
There is also record of an Anthony Club paying tax in Bucks County in 1787.
All of the PA Archives series can be searched for free online.
I have no idea who this James and Margaret Club are, or who Anthony Club is in PA. I do know that the one you call Peter Jr. in NC had a son named Anthony who was the 1812 soldier. The Anthony is PA would be much older, of course.
There are a lot of people who have been fit into families based on supposition and logic...but I like to prove my links one at a time with good documentation. It's fine to have theories, but I don't publish them because there are too many people who will copy anything they see and put it down as fact. I do not have Clubb ancestors, that I know of, but I do limited research on the families that lived in the same regions as my ancestors in order to discover the connections that exist.
