I have a copy of "It All Happened in Tombstone", By John P. Clum. The book is not in print any more, but you can go to the rare books section of Amazon or E-Bay and there WERE some there. John P. was a 26 year old Indian Agent in AZ, and was actually Governor of Arizona Territory for a few days. He organized the Apache police force and was the only one to capture Geronimo peacefully (although it is said Clum tricked him) Clum also organized the Post Office in Alaska. He ran into his old friend Wyatt Earp up there. Wyatt was up there gambling. This happened in the 1898-1900 era, I believe. He was not afraid to blow his own horn and this shows in the book. There is a another book out on him too..."Apache Indian Agent", I believe. He tells of his part in Tombstone and how he was marked to be killed because he backed the Earp brothers. Interesting character, for sure.
