Jacob Clum, Jr--Virginia--Cause of Death

Those of us researching this line have additional information on Jacob now. I received a copy of a letter from Mary Ellen (Clum) Waggoner to one of her daughters, written in the early 1920s, where she stated that Jacob was drowned in the Potomac River (about 1820)..supposedly near the grist mill he owned and operated. We knew he had died young, leaving a large family which later emigrated to Perry County, Ohio, but we didn't know the cause of death. We now do. I love to find these answers after years of searching...Thank you Mary Ellen!
