I am the 3rd great grandaughter of John P Clum. My mother is Andrea Kay Clum (Casey) whose Father is Woodworth Bernhardi Clum Jr (Woody) who is the son of Woodworth Bernhardi Clum Sr. (aka Bill)who is the son of John P.Clum.
J.P. Clum was an Indian Agent for the Apache's. He was the only white man that ran with them and fought for them. He founded the Tombstone Epitah (still in circulation today),was the mayor of Tombstone, Played in the very first collegate football game, a big part in establishing the mail delivery system that we know today, best friends with Wyatt Earp (even was a pallbearer at his funeral), Was mayor of Tombstone during the OK Corral Shootout. (He was in his office when it took place), and he was the first and only man to capture Geronimo peacefully without bloodshed using the Trojan Horse theory. As you probably know, his successers let Geronimo free causing years of bloodshed until he was captured again.
My Grandpa Woody & Lou Clum used to have Geronimo's head-dress & gun displayed in there house years ago. Now it's in a museum in Arizona. We do have a few pics of J.P. Clum with Geronimo & the Apache's.
