To my cousin Jeannette and other Clum cousins.
I have just received a document from family that is dated July 16, 1857 and signed A. H. Myers, Pastor of the Ref P. D. Chh. of Germantown. I did not make any typos in the spelling of Wessels or Jennett, that is the way they are spelled in the document.
This document certifies that on May 7, 1847 Wm Wessels Clum age 23 occupation Sadler and Jennett Wallace Smith age 22 occupation Tailor both of New York City were married at the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Germantown, Columbia Co. N.Y. by the Reverand Joshua Boyd who was pastor of the church at that time.
Witnesses were Alexander Fisher of Germantown and Walter De Baun of New York City.
On the front is written For Mrs Jennett Wallace Clum (signed) Elizabeth Favor
