I must apologise. In my last message I wrote that I understood that the Clunes line originated from ... I should have written Nairn! There seem to have been a lot of people named Clunes in Moray, also.

Clunies-Ross of the Cocos-Keeling Islands is reasonably well known to Australians. In Canberra, there is a Clunies-Ross Drive.

In the state of Victoria there is a town named Clunes
