Richard E. Dawson
Funeral services for Richard E. Dawson, 71, of Wales, were held Saturday
afternoon from the Herman Boltz Funeral Home, East Aurora, NY, with the Rev.
E.C. Platz of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Williston, NY,
officiating. Burial was in Wales Hollow cemetery.
Mr. Dawson died Wednesday evening, Sept. 20, 1950, after an illness of
several months. he was born Feb. 8, 1879, in Butler County, Pa. and went with
his parents to Dallas City, Pa., when a child.
Mr. Dawson spent most of his life in Pennsylvania and came to this state
in 1932. For the past 10 years Mr. Dawson lived in Wales.
Besides his wife, Mr. Dawson is survived by four sons, James H.,
Wellsville; Robert L., Andrew F., and Edwin R. Dawson, all of Wales; two
daughters, Susan Norton and Elma Dawson, also of Wales, and 10 grandchildren.
