Ella,
Thomas Joseph and Estelle Coady were my grandparents.
My Grandfather Tomas was an undertaker for the two large Catholic cemetaries around Chicage: Queen of Heaven and Mount Carmel. It would be conceivable that if Estelle were related to your grandmother, that he would have serviced her.
Tom and Estelle lived in a two story white wood house about 1 block from Mount Carmel cemetary.

When I was a young girl, a Kirsch couple stopped by to visit. our house. It was a strained visit as the Kirsch family disowned my grandmother Estelle when she married Tom as they disapproved of the marriage.

Estelle was a good woman. She and my Mom, Mildred often got together to help each other. She was midwife for some of my siblings and my Mom took care of her after she lost a leg to diabetes at age 65. My Mom and I often walked the tracks to go visit her. We lived in Berkeley about two miles away.

Tom and Estelle had 7 children: two girls and 5 boys, one of which died young. All of their children are now dead. I remembered Estelle as a wonderful German lady, very religious, and patient. I remember when she visited us, she sometimes would dig into a long black stocking purse to hand out a few coin to her grandchildren. She was living at proverty level as some of her children dispectfully took her money.. Estelle often leaned on my Dad, Henry, to help her with expenses and he took care of her hospital bills and funeral. when she died at age 65.. Henry was the most dependable of her children.

My Dad, Henry, was fourth in line and he married Mildred Senne and they had 10 children. I was third.

I hope this helps you to find your family..
