Hello,
I too am researching the Cody / Coady family from Columbus, Ohio. I'm not sure if my family is associated with the one for which you found the old books and documents, but many of the names you mentioned line up with information that I know.
I am specifically looking for information on Patrick J. Cody and his wife Bridget O'Reilly. Their children included Charles, Joseph, Helen (my great grandmother), Frank, Agnes, Angela and Gertrude. Bridget was the daughter of Thomas O'Reilly and Ellen Tobin from Kilkenny Ireland. Helen Cody married Edward P. Welch, former fire chief of the city of Columbus in the 1940's.
I know this message is 10 years old (the one that you posted) but if either of you see this message please write me and I'd be happy to share the information I know. I'd be most interested in learning more about these books and documents that were found. Thanks and I hope to hear back from you! :)
