I am looking for my Great Grandma's parents and Grandparents. Her name was Mary Alice Coake. The spelling of Coake is uncertain. She was born in 1881 we believe, and died in 1972 in Iowa said toe burried in illinois by her eldest son, Wilbur Foster & his 1st wife Minnie. She had been married to a Mr. Foster by early 1900's, widowed and married to David Ervin Wells by 1917 who seems to have been born in Pennsylvania. She was his second of at least 3 wives.

Her Father was Odem Coake and likely born after 1860 something. He apparently sired a dozen children of whom 9 grew up. It looks likely that he lived in Illinois, perhaps born & died as well. No real clue. He married Fanny Frances McKinny according to family.

Odem's father is supposed to have been Henry Cox (spelling?) possibly from Germany and rumored to have fought in US Civil War, then sired a large family afterward. His wife seems to have been Cynthia Roe. No details at all about her.
