Are you saying that they were married etc in a church in England called St Giles? Upon what do you base this information? Are you sure that they did not come from a place called St Giles? I have notice that nobody who has posted to this list has given a location in England from which the Coberly's came. A search of the white pages for the UK came up with only one Coberly - in London. Looking at the countries to which the English emigrated, there are no Coberlys in New Zealand and none in Australia that I can find - but there are Cobleys. This suggests to me that Coberly may be an American spelling version of Cobley.
