To your first point, I noted that the census taker wrote in 1880 that Jeremiah's (born circa 1804) mother was born in "Grmy" [Germany]. I mentioned the possible coincidence of the first and second wives being born in Germany in the document (since the surname Snyder is apparently of German origin). However, I have seen no proof that Elizabeth Snyder actually was born in Germany, so it might not be a coincidence at all.
To your second point, I did note that the last deed on which George's wife "Elizabeth" was mentioned was in 1806 (not 1813). I said that the next deed for George, on which he is listed alone, was in 1813.Therefore, Elizabeth died between Aug 1812, when Clark was born, and 1813, when Elizabeth is missing from George Cockburn's deed.
