Brad, Thanks for your reply. No, Ann Cockey is not an ancestor of mine. In reading several first person accounts of individuals who fought in the War of Northern Aggression(Von Borcke, Blackford, and Stuart for examples) she is mentioned. The Army of Northern Virginia was in the area in connection with the Antietam Campaign. All of these men speak of her exceptional charm, beauty, and zeal for the Sourthern cause. She seems like an interesting individual, and I wished to find out more about her. Thanks for your effort.
