I am back. Again, I am so sorry about the delay in information. I had so much to get done before I went away on holiday, and had no free time to get on the computer. And as it was a long holiday, the delay there as well. So back to business.

Achsah Cockey was born 16 Oct 1755 at the family home in Garrison Forest. She married her kinsman, Thomas Cockey-Deye-Ford on 19 Dec 1781. She was deeded by her brothers 300 acres of land in 1787, including Sewell's Hope, Fool's Folly and Sewell's Contrivance, all in Baltimore County. The only child of theirs I have registered is Sarah Cockey-Ford born in 1791. However, thisdoes not mean that she was their only child. Sarah would eventually marry her kinsman Samuel Cockey. Achsah Cockey died in 1811, the contents of her will are not known to me and is something I am still trying to find out about.

Achsah's brother, John, was born 29 Dec 1758 at the family home in Baltimore County. On 23 Oct 1781, he was commissioned as 1st Lieutenant of the Militia for Gunpowder Upper Battalion. He married Mary Coale on 17 August 1785. They had seven children, Thomas 1787, John 1788, Mary 1790, Samuel 1792, William 1794, Elizabeth 1796 and Stephen 1797. Of these only three lived to adult-hood and their eldest son Thomas died in 1816 having not married.

Well that's all for now. I promise to come back as soon as possible with information on the next generation.

Hope all is good with you.
