Samuel Cauckay (Cockey?)

Part of a gigantic puzzle. In 1795, Warmell Tracy assigned to Samuel Cauckay (sic) a tract of land called "Sam's Puzzle", Patented November 21, 1795, Patent Cert 4317. The original survey to Warnell Tracy was November 21, 1787. Spelling was a problem occasionally, so Cockey is as close as I could come. I could not find "Cauckay" in any records. This land was located southeast of Gunpowder Falls, and I found it on a Survey Map "Middletown to Hoffmanville, Northwest Baltimore Co" by R. Carlton Seitz, 1995. As best as I can determine, it would be about 4/5 miles east of Beckleysville and 4/5 miles south of Middletown, close to "Spring Branch" and "Spook Hill Road". Does anyone have any information about this Samuel? Would this be the area for part of the Cockey family? Thanks to anyone.
