Nice to hear fom you.
As regards Ted - he was the oldest of Charles and Charlotte's children and my dad and uncle have always assumed he was Edward rather than Edwin. However, there is a family connection with the name Edwin - C. and C.'s youngest daughter ( child no. 7 ) married a William Pressland and they had 3 children, Betty, Edwin ( always refered to as Boy Eddie ! ) and Margaret - so you may well be right.
You are also correct - as far as we know - in that Harry wasn't married and neither was Emma, child no. 5.
Of the others, Ted married a Cath ( surname unknown) and they had 7 children, Tom, Amy, Eileen, Noel, Kenneth, Ivan and Len. Some of these I can remember from my grandparents' golden wedding party ! Child 3, Jess, married Theopholus van der Kerkhov who I think was Belgian ( but I would have to check with the older generation ! ) and they had 1 son, Stan. The youngest child, James, married Nell, surname unknown, and we know of no children.
I would have to warn you however, that we haven't actually done any research into this - these are all recollections of various family members !!
If you have any other info., I would love to read it, especially if you can provide any dates as my lack of these
is a serious drawback to further investigations.
Also, as Sicklesmere is only the next village along from Cockfield, which is mentioned in a lot of the other messages posted on this site, I assume we must all be connected in some way - do you know of any links that our part of the family might have with any of them?
Look forward to hewaring from you
